Aberjazz – Cleveland Watkiss and The Great Jamaican Songbook

Born in the East End of London, Cleveland Watkiss  is a virtuoso vocalist, actor and composer and was  awarded an MBE in the 2018 New Year’s Honours List for his services to music. Along with Courtney Pine, Cleveland was one of the co-founders of the vastly influential Jazz Warriors 

The Great Jamaican Songbook features songs that tell poignant stories, about the times and the culture, with that deep and infectious original laid back drum and bass rhythm.
