Mike Lewis, author of the novel ‘If God Will Spare My Life…’, explains how the true story of the Pembrokeshire farmer’s son who fought at Custer’s Last Stand was adapted into the play ‘Ghost Rider’, due to premiere at Fishguard’s Ar Ymyl y Tir 2023 On Land’s Edge Festival, as well as the mystery pervading a work described by Welsh literary giant Jon Gower as ‘a big sprawling tale, spanning continents and bridging the US of the 1870s and the Pembrokeshire of the early part of the twentieth century’.
