Live at Martha’s returns to TG for an exceptional jazz rendition of cinema theme tunes performed by jazz guitarists Jay Azzolina and Scott Free.
Doors open at 5:30pm. Come along early to enjoy a drink in the jazzy atmosphere before the music begins.
This event is a Theatr Gwaun Fundraiser.
Licensed bar including cocktails.

Scott Free, Guitar
Scott is a retired Professor of Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music. He has performed in Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, southern U.S.A. and throughout the New England area with various groups.
Free’s musical works have been performed at jazz festivals/clubs in Scandinavia, Japan, New England, and the southern U.S.A. He has given clinics in composition and guitar in Scotland, Italy, Brazil, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Germany and Scandinavia. Free’s musical compositions have been recorded by Kyoto Jazz Composer’s Orchestra. His CD, Colaboração, with Neil Olmstead, is available on Spotify and other platforms.
Jay Azzolina, Guitar
Grammy nominated guitarist/composer Jay Azzolina has been part of the New York Jazz scene for the past three decades. After leaving the “Berklee College of Music,” where Jay studied with Pat Metheny, Mick Goodrick and Charlie Banacos, the guitarist began working and recording in New York with a variety of artists. Beginning in a more electric setting and later transitioning to acoustic jazz, Jay’s associations include Michael Urbaniak, Herbie Mann, Jaco Pastorius,, Harvie S, Spyro Gyra, Dave Samuels, Kenny Werner, Chuck Mangione, Ron McClure, John Abercrombie, Jerry Bergonzi, The Westchester Jazz Orchestra and John Patitucci.
Jay has also been a recurring accompanist for singers Michael Franks, Manhattan Transfer and Sheila Jordan. As a leader, Jay has recorded four CDs of original compositions with some of the most influential players in Jazz, including Chris Potter, Adam Nussbaum, Larry Goldings, Gary Versace,Tim Ries and Greg Hutchinson. Jay continues to write and perform vigorously and will be releasing his fifth CD “Present Tense” on TRR records summer of 2025.
