This year’s On Land’s Edge Festival // Ar Ymyl y Tir in September promises another exciting blend of top-class artists and writers coupled with a wealth of incredible local talent, organisers have pledged.

On Land’s Edge Festival // Ar Ymyl y Tir is back in September for the fourth year running! Yet again there will be a thrilling array of top-class artists, writers and performers combined with an astonishing wealth of local talent.
On behalf of the festival planning group, Chair Patrick Thomas said that building on the success of previous events, this year’s festival will offer “something for everyone, with music, film, literature, painting, sound and in a festival first, a dance performance.”
“On Land’s Edge/Ar Ymyl y Tir is now an essential part of the cultural scene in West Wales.
“Highlights this year include singer-songwriter Mari Mathias, prize-winning authors Richard Gwyn and Jon Gower, the folk group Filkin’s Drift and the National Poet of Wales Hanan Issa.”
“The festival opens with a parade through the twin towns created by Small World Theatre. There will be events for children and young people including poetry and puppetry workshops.
“Artists, musicians, actors and writers from the local community will feature across the three days of the festival, and in other events leading up to it – so watch this space!
“Events will take place in the main base at Theatr Gwaun, in Ffwrn, Peppers and at outdoor venues all over Fishguard and Goodwick – and will be very affordable. We want to include everyone.”
On Land’s Edge/Ar Ymyl y Tir is a festival of all the arts – music, theatre, film, literature, the visual arts and more besides, and a celebration of North Pembrokeshire – the place and the people who live here.
First launched in September 2021, the festival was held again in September 2022 and 2023 with a bigger budget thanks to Arts Council funding, and more events.
The theme running through this year’s festival will be ‘borders’.
