On Land’s Edge/Ar Ymyl y Tir 2026
This year’s festival has a whale theme, celebrating 70 years since the release of the classic film Moby Dick, much of which was filmed in Fishguard and Goodwick.
As part of the celebrations, with the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are commissioning a large mural on a prominent building in Fishguard (probably in West Street, exact location to be confirmed).
The mural must be complete by the beginning of September 2026. The actual Festival takes place over the weekend starting 25th September 2026. The mural will be one part of an exciting and well publicised weekend of music, art, virtual reality images and a giant lantern parade. This will be an exceptional opportunity to raise the profile of the successful artist at a regional level.
