House of Dogs: The Last Barham Squires and the Curse of Trecwn
A hundred years ago, the Trecwn estate was the largest in North Pembrokeshire and included one of the most beautiful valleys in the county.
Its last two squires, Francis Barham and his son Cyril, were not well respected, battling in court with local schoolmasters, clergymen, doctors, and other neighbours. Their troubled lives cast a peculiar light on the decline of the county gentry.

Gan mlynedd yn ôl, stad Trecwn oedd y fwyaf yng Ngogledd Sir Benfro ac roedd yn cynnwys un o gymoedd harddaf y sir.
Nid oedd ei ddau sgweier olaf, Francis Barham a’i fab Cyril, yn uchel eu parch, gan frwydro yn y llys ag ysgolfeistri lleol, clerigwyr, meddygon, a chymdogion eraill. Mae eu bywydau cythryblus yn taflu goleuni rhyfedd ar ddirywiad bonedd y sir.
