Theatr Gwaun are now open ALL DAY on Wednesdays,
from 10:00am until 9:30pm (approx.)
With help from Ffilm Cymru, we are now running Welcome Wednesday Sessions and we’d love to see you at TG for one of the film screenings throughout the day. You can also join us in Martha’s Café and Bar for a drink and a snack and enjoy the warm welcome of our friendly staff and volunteers.
Martha’s has free WiFi, ample power points and a curated Art Gallery and you are welcome to use our space to work, read, socialise, browse the artwork or simply sit and relax with a cuppa!
Our film screenings will be at 11:00am, 1:30pm and 7:30pm, although the timings are subject to change so please do always check our What’s On page.
ALL of the screenings will be subtitled in order to cater for those that prefer or need that mode of film presentation. There will be sessions specifically programmed as relaxed screenings where the house lights will remain on, at low level, throughout the film and the volume will be reduced below the standard film setting. We will also schedule sessions to welcome parents and carers with pre-school children to enjoy film in an informal, child friendly setting.
Welcome Wednesdays will also be an opportunity for TG to present a range of film titles that will include mainstream film as well as independent titles and amongst that we will be selecting films directed by and/or cast with people of the global majority as we celebrate the rich and diverse range of film from across the globe.
All film tickets are reduced rate at just £6 and our hot drinks (tea, coffee and hot chocolate) are also reduced to £1 a cup, making Welcome Wednesdays a very affordable way to enjoy film at your local community theatre.
